Steeped in Luck is pretty darn cute! Who are some of your favorites?
I also like Bridon Belfrey.
Anyone have photos of Silver Granite anywhere?

Ohhh, so many
I love Bridon Belfrey too. Touch of the Blues, Manu Forti’s Touch Down, Moorpark Image, Foxglen Himself, Banks Fee Daniel, Harkaway Lionhawk, Snowford Bellman, Mountain Pearl, KEC Double Diamond, and The King of Hearts (haven’t seen his babies, but man is he handsome!)
It’s the Luck of The Irish at Tully Cross Farm.
I have a 3 year old by him, and I can’t say enough about this disposition
It looks like Touch of the Blues will be coming back to Equine Reproduction for the 2010 breeding season and will be offered to the public <smile>.
YEA!

Touch of the Blues has a lot of progeny in the UK! Looks like he really throws some nice foals!
We have a Touch of the Blues, ISH stud colt coming four in 2010 and we couldn’t be more pleased. He is out of a Seattle Slew TB grandaughter and has the best characteristics of both parents. He is a true black with chrome like daddy, with bone, size and substance and has the lovely movement of the TB mare. Even at a huge and growing size, he still turns out with a TB gelding friend and stands in a center aisle stable with a half door screen. TOTB’s seems to really stamp his foals with quality bodies and fabulous brains!!! We can’t wait to start breeding our colt!!
I must confess that before my experience with Steeped in Luck (Eamon) I would NEVER have considered an ID as a sire. I had typically worked with Hanoverian and Oldenburg stallions and considered myself pretty loyal. However, I was a working student for his rider Tom Dvorak for two years and had the pleasure of spending many hours on Eamon and with him. He was the hardest working guy in the barn under saddle, a pleasure to be around on the ground and has proven his ability to compete head to head with ‘traditional dressage’ horses time and time again. I was always blown away by his power, ability to collect and super attitude towards learning. This winter he is making his first trip down to Wellington to compete against ‘the big guys’ and I promise to keep everyone posted on his results. I think it will be really interesting to see how he develops with Tom; his owners are really committed to furthering the ID breed and I think Eamon might just be the guy to do it. He opened my eyes to the breed and I would now seriously consider ID dressage horses in the future.
hijack/ Emy, you lucky duck! I really like Tom and I think Eamon’s owners are fabulous people (I call them all my famous Canadian friends!) I may be headed down to watch for a few days and if I do I will look for Eamon, he was one of my first ID crushes and it was such fun seeing him go at the 2007 ID national show. So, do you have the scoop, does Tom have something ready for WEG?\hijack
Here’s my most recent ID crush, Sonrise Genesis:
O’Leary’s Irish Diamond has been competitive through PSG, and he’s also won a Modified Open and an Open Jumping Championship. I have 2. Both are mares and both, as non-WB’s have passed inspection and their MPT’s and are fully accepted with breeding approval by a WB registry.

Thats great to know, I really like him. I am trying to decide to use him or Bridon Belfrey with my dressage type RID mare Bridon Glenlaurel. I had an 09 colt that sold by Belfrey who has fabulous movement and disposition. Both are such great stallions.
Another stallion I love and hope to use is KEC Double Diamond. Another dressage and jumper superstar.

I have 2 OLID line as well, a gelding and a filly. Both are excellent movers with a ton of jumping potential. http://s264.photobucket.com/albums/ii170/okgottago/Horses/?action=view¤t=1stsnowDec2009055.jpg
I cant wait for WEG! I am going to drool over all the ID stallions in the Irish Village…and pick out a future husband for my ID filly~ whoot!
~and Eamon is one of the stallions on my short list for baby daddy!!
Maybe TOTB if he is offered to the public.
Good Times, Good Times

I think King of hearts is owned by Joe Montana
~ yeah…that joe montana
I bred my TB cross ISR mare to Touch of the Blues and couldn’t be happier with the resulting filly (now a coming two yr old). She’s great looking (this year’s part bred young stock champion) and has a dream temperament. And I got size, which TOTB is known for. She’s a touch over 16 h as a long yearling. TOTB is tops in the RID world in my opinion. That said, I am longing to breed this filly’s dam to Steeped in Luck, who wins the prize for dressage movement and conformation.

I was told he has new owners. I told the person who knows the new owner to get them to update the contact info as I would love to be able to use him. I was bummed as I thought I at least had a longshot chance of meeting JM one day
I’m still sitting on my Braveheart RID semen. I don’t have the right mare to put it in right now (or the $ for another horse), but one day I will!
I’ve been very impressed with how talented and amateur friendly the Irish beasties are
Funny you should mention the WEG, as far as I know Steeped in Luck (Eamon) has been asked to do a Demonstration with Tom at the World Equestrian Games. How cool is that?
Cool enough I’m thinking maybe I need tickets! (I was actually checking on prices earlier today since I’m hoping a friend will be competing, fingers tightly crossed.)

And if my 09 ID filly by him is any indication - Smart as a whip too.
