Iron Enterprise offspring?

Anyone familiar with the temperment on his babies? I know he is english, but also know how many AQHA people are on here :D. I am hoping to get a good deal on frozen when Rita’s assets are auctioned off and I really like the Natural Iron horses, but know that their behavior can be less than desirable at times ;).

I don’t know about the Iron Enterprise horses… I do have a daughter of Iron Rebel out of a Tiger Leo mare, so I guess she is a 3/4 sister to his sire, Natural Iron. She’s a sweetheart; but doesn’t put up with a lot of ‘guff’ and can be strong willed when she has her mind set on something. Kind of a ‘matter of fact’ attitude, doesn’t get mad, just holds her ground.

My trainer showed for many years on an Iron Enterprise mare. She was also briefly used for lessons at the barn that I grew up in. She was HUGE, to say the least, looked like a 17 hand warmblood and moved like one too. She was super sweet, but a total wuss when it came to anything involving any type of discomfort. She ended up producing a couple of lovely sport horse types.

Why not go to the source and purchase some NI frozen?

I have a 3 YO Iron Enterprise Mare ~ LOVE her mind! Super quiet, great mover & pretty! She’s only been in training since March and is doing amazing! Was in the Top 3 at the Powers Futurity under 1 judge. Very kind & forgiving!

I just wanted to be sure that you know that they moved the frozen semen to the live auction in Dixon, not the online auction. The frozen sells directly after IE sells and you buy the ENTIRE lot of frozen, not just a dose or two. He has 741 straws available (589 post thaw motility over 30%) for purchase. Most are thinking that the buyer of the stallion will also purchase the frozen.

Thanks for the update. Too bad :(, guess I’ll keep shopping. I’ve been eyeballing Only Blue Sky recently ;).

I own an 8 yr old mare by Iron Enterprise (out of a TB mare), I’ve owned her since she was about 1.5 yrs old. She was bred by Rita and purchased at one of her auctions. For the longest time everyone always said she acted more like a gelding. I broke her out myself, she turned out to be a very talented natural jumper (which I’ve heard is not uncommon). She would be running around the pasture with other horses and instead of turning when she got to the fence she’d jump it and just graze on the other side. This happened on numerous ocassions until she clipped the fence post with her knee and ripped it wide open. It wasn’t until about 2 years ago that she started to act “mare-ish” which I don’t blame on her pedigree. Its gotten worse over the last 6 months so I put her on Mare Magic about 7 weeks ago and I’ve noticed a tremendous difference. Even our vet mentioned it when she came out for vaccinations and teeth. Anyways, I have my happy mare back who is loving, giving and so willing to try anything and everything I throw at her. She is very smart, calm and trusting. I started taking my son for rides on her when he was about 2 years old. The barn I board at says she is one of the few horses they’ll allow their young grand daughter to bring in from outside each day. She is even more-so a gentle giant when children are around. I couldn’t be happier with my IE baby!

IE is now owned by Kevin and Amy Smith of Maine http://www.capallcreek.com. I belive he is standing in Texas for this breeding season.

My grandfather owned Iron Enterprise’s dam and granddam, as well as damsire. They were all lovely horses to be around.
