Ooo - goody goody!

Eta:

Your taste in music is excellent.

Your club does the Blessing right. I love it!

Looks like a great club with great hounds.

Question - what is the stone building? Is it your clubhouse? A member’s home?

Hi, JSwan! It’s actually the club. The Iroquois Hunt bought the old Grimes Mill in the 1920s and renovated it for use as the hunt’s headquarters. The Mill dates to 1803, if I remember correctly. The interior photos on the Smilebox photo slideshow in the earlier post show what at least part of it looks like inside.

I’ve always loved the building. Mr. Houndblogger and I had our wedding reception there, and, in lieu of a rehearsal dinner, we had a hunt breakfast there, too. It’s a lovely setting, and, as hound lovers, we felt it suited our personalities. Plus, the caterer didn’t mind when our oldest beagle showed up at the reception as a special guest …

Here is a link to some photos I took at the Iriquois Blessing of the hounds as well. It was a beautiful setting and full of lovely horses and humans in all their finery!
Enjoy.

Thanks for sharing those! I hadn’t seen the horse with the foxhead clipped into its hair–that’s pretty funny.
