Is 4health doing away with the Salmon and sweet potato flavor?

Five Costco stores in TX
My dogs will not eat the TOTW salmon. They will only eat the prairie version of TOTW, but after trying them on the salmon and sweet potato 4health, I noticed they were less gassy and had better poops, so I wanted to keep them on the 4health. Thanks for suggestion though.

I don’t like shopping at TSC, it’s just what I have. TSC and 2 feedstores with generic Lone Star type dog foods. Oh, and Wal-mart…lol.

I don’t even think we have Costco in our state. Maybe, but I have never seen one.
Just checked Costco’s website for you:

Thanks! Closest one is 2+ hours away. =(

New Idea

I am so sorry that you are going through this but I have one last idea for you.
Call the one that is a hour away and if they have it see if they can do a store to store transfer for you. I hope this helps and I am sorry that you are having a hard time!

Oh, that’s a good idea. I will see if they can do that. Thanks!

Hey I just wanted to let you that I unloaded 5lbs for your food this morning at my store in Va so they still are making that size.

How big is the Natural Balance kibble? My dog is currently on Regal salmon and sweet potato, which she likes and does well with. She is a nibbler, and we leave a full bowl of food for her. Unfortunately, it is small kibble, and Fat Cat and Bad Kitty have also taken a liking to it!
The Natural Balance SP and Salmon is a small kibble.

And I think Wendy mentioned it’s very much like having alot of potatoes and a little meat. Protein/fat is 21/10. But the TOTW fish formula is only a titch better at 25/15. The reason I’m doing the NB is the limited ingredients… more I can control if the dog starts puking again. And the 2nd ingredient and main source of protein in the TOTW fish formula is Ocean fish meal… which could be basically anything out of the ocean… which for my situation is way to much uncontrolled variable.

Other thing to note is the huge volume in poop that I get from feeding my dog the NB food as opposed to TOTW. On NB she poops 3-5 piles a day. On TOTW it’s 2 small piles. And I think less food and less poop is always better than more food (and more fillers) and more poop. So a minus for the NB foods there. Ironically when I was feeding TOTW I was adding a 1/2 cup slightly boiled sweet potato cubes to prevent fiber responsive colitis… So the bonus for me with the NB food is I don’t have to add Sp to the food. But there has got to be a better kibble out there with limited ingredients (No chicken or turkey) that I can switch the dog on to.

But for now the NB SP and Salmon works for us in that the dog is no longer throwing up everything… so one step at a time.

At the local TSC, I looked–they’re definitely carrying the large bags of the 4Health salmon. I got the large bag of small bites and the checkout lady mentioned she feeds the salmon and sweet potato precisely to cut down on the…um…gas attacks.
