Didn’t they do stadium yesterday? I thought they were doing xc today?
Someone just told me SJ starts at 10 and XC at 1030.

XC Times today:
Em
Thanks, Em. That is the first order of go I have seen all weekend!
Facebook page has had all the most up to date info.
Em
I tried to watch this weekend but I would log in to my USEF Network account and click play and it would still want me to log in. Then I even tried to set up a new account and use the plantation19 promo code but then it told me that the promo code was invalid.
So I didn’t get to watch
i was going to go watch today in person but it was too warm for me. I believe Fall horse shows should be long sleeve shirt weather lol
Just finished watching the XC live. Shakeup of the final top three. Only one person got the time. I like the British announcer better than the couple who does that Podcast. I find the couple’s commentary banal.
Not sure who the podcast man and woman are, but I agree they didn’t add much. British announcer is generally pretty good but not in the best of taste when one the last few riders had a fairly signifcant fall, and he didn’t even acknowledge it but immediately went to what that would do to the final standings.
ME TOOO!!! So pissed…
Erin & Paddy must’ve been cruising to get a 20 and still come in 10 seconds under…
They were. They looked really good until the runout at the corner:cry:.
What happened to Cuyler and Katie Walker’s involvement in Plantation Field horse trials? they were always front and center as land owners…and Katie became a main organizer and was seemed to run the show…up until a year of two ago.
Divorce. Cuyler is still involved–I saw him several times over the weekend.
The man and wife were the ones with the podcast. The British guy was Jon Kyle. He is usually very professional, but this weekend, everyone seemed very laid back. It seemed to me when Boyd and Caroline fell, it took them a while to acknowledge that. It looks like a great course, but what surprised me was the lack of trees! Gosh it almost looked like Oklahoma!
There are many trees but the views didn’t show them. But part of why this is a great place for a show is that you can see so much because of the wide open fields.

I was just commenting on that today. Some additional strategically placed trees would be welcome to fence judges and spectators without blocking the view. It was hot there today!
On the West Coast, Twin Rivers had their international event this weekend. It was live streamed thru rideonvideo free of charge. They had commentary in the 2-4* (short), and then just played music for the “lower” levels. Talk about AWESOME!! I love that events are starting to do this and I hope to see more of it in the future!
It is just such a different look from Kentucky and obviously from Badminton and Burghley. And as far as Ok, I have only been down there a couple of times. I used to work out of Joplin sometimes, and I would drive over to Tulsa to see a friend, and as soon as you would pass from Mo to Ok, the trees would just vanish! It LOOKED hot today.
There are a Ton of trees at Plantation. Rolling hills of PA are full of woods. This is a fabulous course for spectating because on the top of the hill…you can see a ton of the course.
Yes it was hot (had been cool earlier in the week) and unusually dry. It’s normally lush green this time of year.
