Yes. I usually get the generic Povidone- Iodine from Walmart.
Just be sure you’re not buying betadine scrub if you want betadine solution. (neither is human or horse specific, it’s just easy to get those 2 confused!)
They are the same, made in the same plants. The equine stuff is not labeled for use on humans, so a healthcare provider can’t use it on you, but you can put whatever you darned well please on yourself. Betadine solution and Betadine scrub differ in that the scrub has soap in it. It’s used to clean the skin before surgery and it’s sometimes useful if you need to get the stuff to stick for a while, particularly to get under hair.
