Is it true that turf horses might like a synthetic track?

Is it true that turf horses might like a synthetic track, also?

They said that on one of the racing channels before.

What is the reasoning behind it?

Thanks.

Synthetics act a lot like turf. If you’ve ever walked on it, there is no slide at all. Horses can get a much better grip behind, such as they do on turf. Generally horses a little weaker behind do better on turf and synthetics since they can push off easier.

Thanks Halo !

A lot of horses like turf because they can’t handle dirt being kicked in their face, synthetics have less kickback than a dirt track.
