Is the Collegiate Comfitec bridle legal for eventing dressage?

Yes I read the rulebook (which shows a similar bridle of a different brand as legal), emailed USEA/USEF in January, and the new link posted by EN earlier this week, but no answer yet. Does anyone know? (And if so, how did you confirm?)

Thanks so much!

Yes, but similar bridles that use metal to shape the noseband are not.

Thank you! Do you mind my asking how you found that out? (Just for peace of mind . . . )

Yes it is legal! I use it and I haven’t been called out on it. It is technically the same thing as the ps of Sweden high jump, but the only thing that’s questionable on the ps of Sweden bridles is the optional throat-latch.

I own one, but cannot get the noseband to fit my horse. It is very frustrating. I have tried several things to try to make it fit, but the noseband always slips down too low on his nose. I have gone back to the Micklem.

Thanks! So do USEF dressage equipment rules cover eventing as well? I wasn’t clear on that, appreciate the link!

USEF dressage rules are different than USEF eventing rules. There are some slight differences in allowed equipment.

Scroll most of the way down and you’ll find the pictures for allowed bridles for dressage.

Thanks! That’s the list I was looking at and confused by. It specifically calls out the PS of Sweden High Jump as legal, it’s unclear to me whether that would include other very similar ones or if that is brand only.
