Is there an audience for an Orthoflex saddle?

A friend is getting out of horses and has an older but only used a few times Orthoflex saddle. She is wondering if there is still a market and where people would go to look for one - aka where should she market it?

I wouldn’t think there’s a big market, but ???

It seems to me that, with the exception of side saddles, saddles that are “different” and those that require that the rider adjust the saddle in some way may be hard to sell.

Perhaps she should google them?

where i live there is a local FB page for horse supplies and even for selling horses. OP- i would try that. I always liked seeing the Ortho-flex catalogs in the 1980’s. beautiful saddles.

Your friend might contact Ortho Flex, they may have a list of folks looking for a good used saddle.

There’s a FaceBook group called Fans of Flex-Panel Saddles: Ortho-Flex, Timberline, Reactor Panel, and more. Great place to advertise (and free, of course.)

Great resources. MANY thanks for your help. I’ll pass it along to my friend.

MANY Thanks for the resources to check for rehoming her Orthoflex. I’ll pass it along to my friend.

My SO may be interested in it… feel free to PM me your friends contact info…

Another resource is www.horsesaddleshop.com. You can ship the saddle to them and consign it. They will clean it, photograph it and market it for you. I just sold two high end saddles through them. It was a fairly painless process.

I have an endurance cutback I’d like to sell, so thanks for the tips
