Is this Devoucoux Oldara good deal or no?

Well, you certainly have a nice leg! Are you sure you need blocks?

OT, but the plain flap looks so weird!! I have an Oldara, love it, so comfy…but mine is padded.

Thank you for the compliment on my leg  The saddle does look strange but it’s a beautiful piece of equipment with or without knee rolls!

You have nice long legs, I’m jealous! I’d be interested in what others think but maybe the flap isn’t forward enough for you? Great deal. If you don’t buy it send it my way.

I think the flap fits me better then my 17.5in Antares. This saddle is an 18 which feels much better. My leg feels straight underneath of me, no chair seat. Here are some pics not the best but you get the idea of where my leg is.

I hate to say it, but I think the saddle’s a half inch and a degree of forwardness too small. It seems like you’d have nowhere to put either your seat or your leg if you put your stirrups up for a bigger stick. I find Devoucoux to run a little small in the seat because of the depths.

FWIW my horse is 14.3hh and we jump about 3ft. Any other horse I ride I lower my stirrups a hole or I’d feel like a jockey lol

I really appreciate everybody’s input!

I love my saddle. Your horse seems to like it. And you ride lovely!!!

Soooo I ended up buying the saddle. The more I ride in it the more in love it. The seat and overall balance of the saddle is amazing. I love how my leg just hangs without any obstruction. It reminds me of a more comfortable version of my old Sovereign. I may still put front blocks on it but for now it’s gonna stay just the way it is.
