is this really linda parelli?

i saw this posted elsewhere…hope this isn’t a repost…but someone said this was linda parelli doing this. be warned, it’s disturbing; you can hear the metal clasp hitting the horse, the line hitting the horse, the horse’s frightened, gasping breath… i dunno. i had to fast forward it… is it really her, though, or is it one of her minions?

flying fruit bat, what was that?!

I made it through to about 2 min…I want to smack this person…looks like an excellent way to create a head shy horse…

OMG!!! What on earth was she doing without her CARROT STICK??!!
No wonder that horse wasn’t behaving!!!

Be sure to watch long enough for the open-handed slaps to the horse’s head.

What in the HELL are they trying to do?? That poor horse! He hasn’t a clue what that damn idiot wants. I don’t see the purpose of what they’re doing? I mean seriously, WHAT are they wanting the horse to do popping in it the face like that when he’s at a standstill? He seems willing, but she’s a moron!

Sorry, that just pissed me off!

Who the hell is that woman ??

That’s the way to make a horse totally tune you out. Poor beast :frowning:

Well…I did not find it horribly disturbing from an animal welfare point of view but I did find it frustrating to watch as it was horribly ineffective and sloppy and poor training in general. Personally, I really hate all the rope swinging and wiggling crap and jerking. I’ve had to sit a few horses on their butts before also but you make a correction, as sharp as necessary and get it over with. That was carried out forever and totally ineffective from what I could see.

I would have probably put him to work on a circle, yielding the hindquarters, backing, etc…had a dressage whip or handy stick and would have used that on his shoulder to keep him out of my space and got him focused back on me via making him move and listen to my aids. He was practically walking all over her and all she did was jiggle the rope around and jerk the snot out of him.

Lord went and watched it again, I swear I want to punch her in her damn face!

So is it Linda Parelli? Does anyone know?

I cannot tell who the woman is, but she is dressed like LP. OMG that poor horse, probably is ruined for life for regular longeing, being taught to lose forward gear.

Would any fans of that practice care to defend that?

Well, if it is, and she catches wind of this, I would expect that vid to disappear in the blink of an eye.

Looks a lot like their Florida farm, too.

Poor horse…

Saving it may be in order then. Funny how things like this become a mean old “rumor” in the blink of an eye.

He looked to me like he was ready to go out and lunge, but she was confusing the heck out of him with all that wiggle and snatch.

I couldn’t tell what she wanted him to do, I’m sure he didn’t know either. Poor horse.

Well, here’s hoping a bunch of people grabbed and saved it elsewhere then.

Could be here…but impossible to tell from distance and video quality. Unless someone is a video wiz and can do some CSI type enlarging and de-fuzzing of the video…it’s too hard to tell.

But sure does dress like her and has the same style/color hair. Although lots of blonde riders dress like that.

Whoever it was…massive hissy fit temper tantrum by person. Piss poor horsemanship. Extremely piss poor.

However…none of their FANatics would ever admit to that possibly being a pepperoni…even if it as a close up clear shot with her driver’s license photo visible and her husband standing nearby wearing a name tag. It would be a conspiracy video created by the evil doers who use treed saddles and bits and helmets.

And know how to ride.

That sure does look and sound like Linda. That poor horse. “Love, Language, Leadership” what a joke! Oh, horsie your nervouse and upset, so let me beat the crap out of you and rip your face of with my handy dandy knotted rope halter. I wish I could yank on her face and see how relaxed and trusting she gets. There’s so many non-abusive ways to teach a horse to pay attention and how to lead. The sad part is, this is what they teach people how to handle their horses. Yes, I bought into this garbage when I had a difficult horse a long time ago and quickly realized that it isn’t the way I want to train.

It looks exactly like her. She’s dressed like that a lot on the shows on RFD-TV. Voice is the real giveaway though.

And the true Parelli-ites will deny that precious Linda could ever do anything like that. Wake up and smell the kool-aid folks… she sux!

She is spot-on for true ineptitude.

WTF??? I am as confused as that poor horse. Ok I get that she doesn’t want the horse looking around and not being attentive but exactly what was the purpose of that?

My mom called earlier and mentioned that one of her coworkers was getting a horse and buying a bunch of Parelli gear…I think I will forward her this video. It should illustrate what I was trying to explain about their “method”.

This is how I felt too.

Was I the only one hoping that the horse would rear and land on her?
