ISO Anatomical Bridle Recommendations

Finally got around to oiling the bridle that I got a few months ago for my young horse, and as I compared it to her dressage bridle (pulling the bit off the dressage bridle) I found the sizing is WAY off and won’t work for her. So I am back on the hunt for a bridle and of course now have a short turn around as I want to use it for a show in 2 weeks.

I want something simple, no flash/drop/figure 8 just a plain cavesson (D rings on noseband like below are a HUGE plus), must be brown, padded monocrown crown piece, decent length browband, and ideally no throatlatch. It’s a bit weird but I don’t like the throatlatchs and don’t need one for jumpers. I found this but it looks a bit “dressagy” - I’d really love a fancy stitched noseband. I was also eyeing the Schockemöhle Delta bridle, but am wary after some posts in the Dressage forum said the nubs that the bit attachments attach to broke off.

Have you looked at anything by PS of Sweden?

I have! I have a a request in to a Us distributor as most of the bridles and parts aren’t in stock online. I would still need to frakenbridle one to get the pieces I need unfortunately.

I have a frankenbridle from PS of Sweden. I bought it back when the had made to measure on their website.

I ended up with a PS of Sweden Stockholm bought used since I needed something in the next week and a half. Certainly not a bad bridle, it’s really very pretty, and if the baby horse doesn’t like it then my older mare can have it as she’s not picky about her tack.

I love my Busse Feeling bridle. Comes in brown or black. Similar to a micklem but better leather quality and has the throat lash to make it legal for showing here.
