I spend part of the year in SW Florida, usually November to late March. My two horses remain in Colorado, and I make a couple of trips up during the winter to ride. One is my upper level schoolmaster; the other is my seven year old youngster, currently solid at second level and working on third level movements.
I am relatively new to the Sarasota area and would like to know if there are dressage trainers/facilities with school horses for lessons. I would like to continue my riding and stay riding-fit.
I am an experienced rider, have been a working student with my CO trainers for several years, and can provide excellent references. Have ridden everything from grade horses to warmbloods large and smaller, Friesians, even ponies. Comfortable with both lower level and upper level horses. Experience with combined driving as a navigator/groom, as well. I’m also retired, so have an open schedule.
Suggestions welcome, please feel free to PM if you prefer. I am somewhat familiar with the two GMOs in the area, and hope that I could get some COTH input.
