Hello! I’m currently in search of a farrier in central PA (Carlisle/Harrisburg area). I’m having a heck of a time finding someone taking on new clients, or willing to travel to do just one horse. I lost my farrier when I moved barns, and switched to a new one, but I’m just not satisfied with the work at all so far. The others boarders are using a farrier who is booked solid for another month, and I just don’t feel comfortable letting my horse go that long (we’re at 5 weeks now and starting to get iffy).
My gelding is uncomplicated. Wears shoes on all fours, but requires nothing special or corrective. I would really prefer someone who hot shoes, if possible, although I know that’s becoming increasingly more difficult to find.
