I have a friend in Richmond Va. who is looking to start riding, and says he is having a hard time finding an instructor. He needs to start at the very beginning/basics, but as an adult, does not want to be taking lessons with children. Does not have his own horse, so would need someone with a schoolie. He has no desire to show/ compeate. Just to learn. Anyone know of any good instructors?
Donna Crossman in Amelia Court House is awesome. She’s a western trainer – which I assume your friend wants since you posted in western – and she’s a fun person besides.
She’s been training for more than 40 years, and while I’ve never taken a lesson from her, I bet it would be fun:)
