I have my 26 year old tb he has been retired for many years. Unfortunately I cannot keep him where he has been for many years. Seeking simple situation. Turnout is imperative. Can be stalled or 24/7. Easy keeper. Need to have a place for farrier and vet to treat. Any suggestions?
I may be imagining this since I don’t see any indication on their website, but I thought I read somewhere that the OTTB rescue/sanctuary Akindale in Pawling was going to offer some retirement board for non-rescue horses. It might be worth reaching out to them if that distance isn’t too far for you.
