ISO suggestions 2 manage feline rhino outbreak

Short version—
When using lysine to support a tribe of sneezing cats, do they tend to get worse before they get better?
How else can I help them recover at home?

Long version—
I’ve got 8 cats in my care atm.
My four, plus the former feral who lived on site, and 3 now four month old kittens the landlady found in September.
She’s pregnant, so her crew moved into my cabin last month. Everyone is getting along, but of course now they’re all sneezing and wheezing.
Two of mine were given antibiotics, (my oldest and my barn baby with chronic ear stuff).
And the vet recommended lysine for the rest of them.
I can afford to get my other 2 to the vet if they worsen, but not the landlord’s cats.
And they’re not inclined to spend that on stray cats.
Thanks.

We have one who’s popped an active infection a couple of times due to being VERY stressed. IIRC, she did get a little worse before getting better. My theory is that it just took a bit of time for the lysine to “catch up” to the rate of infection. I wanna say it was maybe a lag of 2 days?
