Issues ordering from Abler?

Has anyone had any issues ordering from Abler?

I placed an order with them about 2 weeks ago. A couple days later I received an email saying that I needed to verify my purchase through E-check and they had been trying to contact me to do this (even though no one ever tried to contact me). So I called them to verify and they told me it was approved and they would put the purchase through. I got an email confirming my purchase. Then I looked on Abler’s website yesterday to check the status of my order and it says my order was cancelled!! WTH?! I’m so upset!! NO ONE contacted me about my order or told me why it’s been cancelled. No phone call or email or anything! Since yesterday morning I have been trying to contact them to figure out what the heck is going on but I can’t get anyone on the phone and the live chat wasn’t available when I looked yesterday so I sent a “help ticket” via the website. I got a automated response that they received it but have not heard anything since…

I’m super frustrated and have no idea what’s going on… just wanted to know if anyone else has had issues? Thanks.

Judging by the threads on here, they have been pretty reliable lately, but not always. Previous problems seem to be partially the remote location, being in the middle of the Indian Ocean, and shipping pharmaceuticals internationally sans regulatory oversight. Couple of pain points there that can be problematic.

I ordered it on 4/21/2017. The echeck was called and verified. I has been shipped but I have not yet received it.

The last time I ordered it took over 14 days to get my order. It sat in US customs forever. It literally took like 3 days for the package to make it into the US then it sat in NY forever. I have no idea why.

It is illegal for Abler to sell those medications without a prescription, so there will always be a risk that shipments can be seized, unfortunately. I think horse owners are just lucky Abler hasn’t ticked off the FDA too badly yet.

But omeprazole is an OTC medication. I don’t think that applies since you can go to almost any feed store and buy gastroguard. The problem with my horse is he’s a nightmare to deworm so I literally think one of us would die if I had to give him gastroguard every day for an extended period. Abler is the best option for him.

The issue lies in the claims that they make: omeprazole in a dosage for the prevention of gastric ulcers is OTC. Omeprazole in a dosage for the treatment of gastric ulcers requires a veterinarians prescription. On the Abler website, they claim their product is for both, which means - Rx. They also sell bute - which is Rx only.

If any shipper also ships regulated substances without regulatory approval, anything with their name on it as shipper might be detained in customs by any country that regulates. That means their packages can be opened, searched or confiscated no matter what’s inside. They could also be denied shipping authority for anything. It’s a risk you take ordering anything from unregulated, offshore outfits, you have no rights as a consumer, also why some credit card won’t authorize charges from some overseas companies.

You may be ordering relatively benign substances but who knows what else gets shipped out under their name. Honestly, have to wonder about safe handling practices in companies operating in remote countries with no oversight and very, very low operating costs.

Oh, travel Internationally often, need to be careful what you might be carrying personally and what label is on it. Makes for a long time in Customs and they might keep it. Once got randomly searched entering the US and lost an OTC headache remedy bought in the European country I was coming from because it contained a tiny amount of a controlled substance in the US. Took forever, they kept it. Not a positive experience.
