Jackie's Warrior on a loopy rein

I loved watching Jackie’s Warrior gallop down the stretch with no urging and loopy reins in the Vanderbilt (Saratoga race 8 yesterday). What a nice horse (and really fast, too). ETA: 105 Beyer eased up!

Thanks to his connections for the 4-year-old campaign.

That race… was amazing. Rosario barely moved except to look under his arm to check where the other horses were. :two_hearts:

What a pleasure to watch!
And editing to add how beautifully Asmussen has his horses looking. Spotless, shiny, braided.

It was a lovely performance.

I thought Epicenter had a great race as well.

Yes, Epicenter looked really solid.

Saratoga has been very entertaining so far and so much more to come!

The Travers should be fun this year.

SA really seems to have stepped into Top Dog status with results and spectacular turn out, nice to see.

Two more races for Jackies Warrior, Forego and BC Sprint then we lose him to the shed.

Hey, what happened with Cornice, couldn’t watch the later races.

Regarding Corniche and quoting from the Bloodhorse article on the Amsterdam:

"The same, though, could not be said for Speedway Stables’ 2021 undefeated 2-year-old champion Corniche , whose 3-year-old debut and first start for trainer Todd Pletcher produced a dismal last-place finish as the 8-5 favorite in the field of nine, about 33 lengths behind Gunite.

“He didn’t get away cleanly and found himself in a position he’s never been in before,” Pletcher said about the usually speedy son of Quality Road who was 3-for-3 capped by a Nov. 5 TVG Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Presented by Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (G1) victory for trainer Bob Baffert. “(Jockey Luis Saez) said when he came to the three-eighths pole, he kind of came off the bridle. We’ll scope him and see if anything is revealed, but it’s disappointing.”"

Hopefully they will get to the bottom of whatever is up with him, according to his connections he’s been a little up and down condition wise since the BC win. Horses….
