Jason is HOME from the hospital

Just a quick update again on Jason - he was sent home on Monday! He was doing so well that they said it would be better for him to go home. In three months or so they will check to see what may need tweaking. Being 22, he of course had enough spit and vinegar to take a four block long walk on Tuesday.

WOW!

Then again, nothing like fresh air and being home to help you get better. But we’ll still all completely in shock - happy shock.

What good news Coreene!! Thats wonderful to hear. Hopefully the rest of his recovery will go just as well! Ahhh, when will he be able to see his horses? You noticed I said see, not ride…

coreene, I have a lovely vision of you hobbling along, wheeling Jason in his wheel chair to the curb, at which point he gets up and you sit and go for the ride. So how’s that foot anyway?

So glad to hear Jason is bounding back.

glad to hear he is doing so well. What a frightening ordeal!

Behind every good woman lies a trail of men

Kate, apparently he is zooming around his neighborhood, going for long walks. I was happy to help raise the $$ and get the troops rallied 'round, but I do not do hospitals. When I was in after my fall, the last thing I wanted was company, so I just used that theory and did not go.

As for my toe, thank you for asking. The only way I can describe it is: it feels like I had my toenail ripped out. Ow ow ow!!!

Glad to hear he’s well on the mend!

Glad to hear that Jason is doing better. Hopefully he will have a very speedy total recovery!

Same thing happened to me after having my spleen removed. I was checked in Sunday night and checked out Wednesday afternoon. Honestly though, I think they just needed the bed…I wasn’t even on solid food when I left!

“Throw your heart over the fence and your horse will follow.”

Excellent news. Here’s to his continued rapid recovery.

Excellent news! Do I dare ask if he’s speaking about riding again?

He thnks it’s too bad he can’t go to the barn and say hi to his horses. He will be back faster than any of us would have imagined. Right now he talks with his teeth together, because they put braces on to help hold his jaw together, but still talks up a storm.

Whoda thunk?
