Jersey Fresh

Super excited to follow the scores. Is there any live streaming?

No live stream, unfortunately.

Unfortunately not. I was there today and saw Boyd’s, Phillip’s, Will Faudree’s, and Doug Payne’s dressage rides (among others). I’ll be back on Sunday for stadium, but unfortunately can’t make cross-country. It’s supposed to be nice weather for a change on Saturday, though.

Holy falls Batman! PD fell twice, HSB, Will faudree, hopefully all ok!

Oh no! Fingers crossed everyone is ok.

I wasn’t able to attend cross-country day (unfortunately, since it’s beautiful) because today is one of my riding days. I’m so sorry to hear about all the falls. Anyone who was there, any news about their safety?

I know that Phillip has fallen at Jersey Fresh multiple times before (although to be fair, he usually rides quite a few horses).

It’s so odd that the event often has more falls when the weather is good, versus when we have a Nor’easter coming through.

Now, they are listing both of PD’s falls, as MR’s. Prayers that his horses and he are ok!

I can only speak for one of the falls because it happened right in front of me and I actually caught the horse. Faudree’s horse actually caught both legs on front of a large table I believe it was jump 5 and luckily he was able to save himself but the horses head went down and Will rolled right over his head and he did a somersault and landed on his back. It could’ve been a lot worse.

Wow, sounds like Will knows how to fall though! Hope the horse and him are OK.

anyone have news on PD?

Pretty sure he rode after his falls. I know one fall was at a skinny in the water that caused a lot of issues. His horse fell in the water at it but both were up quickly.

Jersey Fresh certainly doesn’t have a good track record for having a lot of clean rounds… pretty sure having CMP as course designer doesn’t help. :uhoh:

Sorry to see that Doug Payne had to withdraw Getaway from the 4L today. He stepped on his heel, during cross country. His other 2 horses are doing well in the 3L group. Does anyone know, from which group they pick the Pan Am squad?

Doug just won the 3*L on Starr Witness (Ginja Ninja!) He was 4th on Cascor, too. WhooHoo!!

Actually it was Quantum Leap he withdrew. Quantum pulled both bell boots in the water , and grabbed both heels . You can see him jumping in with both bell boots and losing one and then the other. It’s a shame as he made the xc course look like training level in only his 3rd advanced start. Super job by Doug in developing him

And from the press, Kudos to you for breeding him!

I had heard about the COH Forum but have never really looked at them so this is a bit late but I thought I’d post it anyway.
