JP60- “well quaffed”, is that an auto-correct gaffe or do I get to say “I do not think that means what you think that means” :slight_smile:

quaffed = drank
coiffed = hairdo

maybe well “crafted”?
The guy who invented auto correct died. His Obituary read “Rest in Pieces.” :lol:

(sigh)…that’ll teach me. Corrected and thank you. However, coiffed can be used outside of hair, it is just the norm.

Historically iirc (and that’s a somewhat sizable “if”) the Vicarage Vee has killed some horses. In 2007 one died at the vet hospital after cutting it’s leg on the fence and slicing an artery in the process.
That’s not what actually happened. Icare D’Auzay hit the flag post, which snapped. The poor horse effectively staked himself on the piece that snapped off. It was a freak accident. It was a very sad Badminton.

I, too, am glad that Denny calls it for what it is. I do wish he, and some of the current BNR’s would step up and work together, if they want to impact things in a positive way.
Denny is the wise one…too bad more people in important positions AREN’T PAYING ATTENTION!!!

It’s all perfectly clear; one needs to quaff a good stiff drink before taking on a hairy jump like the Vicarage Vee.

Does the FEI even still have an eventing safety task force? I know they have safety conferences every year, but I don’t think they have a special safety group now that is tasked and authorized to make change proposals.
