Oh shoot, never mind that idea.
@Jarpur, thank you SO much. I looked on Manna Pro’s website and Mad Barn’s feed analysis. I never thought to look at TS.
Have you tried Cocosoya oil? I’ve never had a horse NOT gobble it down, and it smells like caramel corn.
No…I haven’t. I will!
Oh bummer. I don’t remember where you are, looks like they distribute all over the West.
It looks like a wonderful feed! I’m in the Midwest. I may see what shipping looks like tomorrow. We’ve come so far… what’s a little more money💗?
Try the Cocosoya. They even make a meal with some other things in it but much less messy. They really love it.
Jingles & AO for this to be an easier week for you two ~ don’t forget to do something nice for YOU ~ even if it’s just a a Starbucks treat keeping you two in our thoughts ~
ZZ gang
I had one who hated cocosoya! He loved flax oil though (what is in the PP).
Beloved pony is doing very well…out on grass w/o a muzzle for 1 hour and 15 minutes… muzzled for another 2 hours and 45 minutes. He’s eating Triple Crown Senior Active well. I don’t think k he likes the Smart Carb very well w it. I found some smaller hay cubes made by Stampede; he’s allowed hay cubes now according to his discharge instructions. Verbally I was told Nov 1. I think I’ll soak some and start them tomorrow.
@beowulf, I remember you mentioned feeding soupy mixtures for some time. Could you expand upon the refeeding program you followed? He has a checkup on Friday…
I also ordered a leaf mulcher. We have fabulous hay…I’m hoping they will approve it. It’s soft, second cutting, very clean, low NSC grass hay.
Thank you everyone for your continued support and suggestions. I’m so grateful I have him💗.
And he is very lucky to have you!
Fingers crossed for your check up!
It’s been so long I don’t have exact measurements, but if memory serves, I was upping the amount by half a quart over the course of 2 weeks.
Keep us updated!!
Good luck with your check up!
We had a check up today!!! His veterinarians are thrilled w his progress!!! And he was a pistol- bucking in his stall💗. (His routine turnout time was altered.
We are adding in the TC Natural Balance Timothy cubes AND 5 handfuls of hay. I got busted as my handfuls were bigger than his vet wanted😉. Next week we can add hay in a net.
His turnout area is enlarged daily for fresh grass. He’s on unlimited turnout mid next week. He is so bright…I must try to get a picture. Thank you all for your ideas and support.
Yippee!!!
What a fantastic report!!
