Quick update
Yesterday I was taking some pictures of Odie’s foot where it is growing out, and was so focused on that foot that at first I didn’t notice the other foot…

That’s your Mother’s Day present from your Evil Burrito
I didn’t think of that! Aww. Love my Odie!
Ha ha! That’s great!
Did Odie know it was International DOnkey Week ?

Another little update
It was Rory’s birthday today, and Odie’s 10 days ago (they are both five now ), so I let them have a little bitey-face wrestle time. Very tame compared to other wrestle matches, but nonetheless.
Also, Odie’s next appt is 6/13 for new xrays, so cross your fingers he gets a clean bill of health As you can see, he’s weight-bearing, and even pushing off on it.
Too. Stinkin. Cute!
Odie looks GREAT
Doesn’t he?! He was up a hill today and came galloping down it and then up the arena, where I was, then started bucking. I’m VERY optimistic for the vet appt.
New video of the boys wrestling, I started about halfway through. You can see he’s a little off here, like I said he has good and bad days. Hopefully I’ll learn more on Friday.
Also, I’m happy to see that Odie is willing to say “enough” and kick out at Rory. Rory was VERY careful with Odie, while they were playing and running and tripped and nearly fell down to keep from running over Odie when Odie decided to change directions suddenly, and another time Odie slowed down and Rory ran over the top of him…as in literally, Odie was trotting between Rory’s front legs, and Rory just stopped until Odie squirted back out. Heart stopping? Yeah you could say that!  :dead:
I’ve been watching the development of the ring bone on Odie, it’s definitely “there” to the naked eye and maybe some inflammation around in the soft tissue as well. I’m considering putting everyone on MSM for various reasons, but including the Odester for this very reason, but will ask the vet this week.
Finally, it seems like it’s been forever, but we’re at the end of the road now.
Odie has been approved for turnout and the vet is very happy with our last set of radiographs (as far as the fracture goes). The arthritis is there, but vet says “he’s small and doesn’t have a job,” so it’s not such a big deal. The ringbone is there and will be a discomfort, hopefully the top joint will fuse. Unfortunately, the navicular got in on the game and hopefully THAT joint space won’t fuse…but vet made some faces that indicate it may be an issue down the road.
But! Odie is out, Rory is overly excited and Odie is a little intimidate that his (bigger in the last 7.5 months) bestie is such a thundering presence. It should all calm down, but I can tell you that Odie is definitely happy to be with his people and promptly took a nap once the shenanigans came to an end.
With his buddy
Nap time, in the sun, not surrounded by panels, for the first time since last year
He will still be as spoiled as always, he’s a special Burrito after all. During the last several months, I’ve learned a lot about Odie that I never would have known, and while he’s learned to be a pest, he’s an adorable pest and honestly…who doesn’t mind being chased down and forced to share granola bars with this little face!!?
Anyways, thank you everyone for all the jingles.
All that is so good, hard to believe he made it.
He looks so little next to that big oaf.
Hoping his ringbone settles down and he is fine on it for long time.
He’s a trooper
