Jingles for Evil Burrito: post 680 something EORTH :(

Update

I totally busted Rory and Odie playing, not once, not twice, but three times.

The first time, I did what I normally do when I get to the barn is halter Rory and then open Odie’s paddock, then go to the gate and take Rory out since they can’t be out together. Usually Odie takes his own sweet time coming out, and normally Rory just follows me. This time? Not so much  I turned around in time to see “chomp, CHOMP! rear, chomp!” Eeeek bad boys!

After I rode Rory, hosed him, and put him out, I grabbed Odie and put him out on a long line to graze instead of loose because the perimeter fence gate is broken (electric) and in the open position. I bathe Nika and am enjoying the sun when I look waaaaaaay over and see this.

Crap! So I hustle over, stop to take some video, then continue to hustle over. By then, they know they are busted.

Twenty minutes later, while I’m in the barn, I get a niggling feeling and peek outside…busted again!!

Odie has that ‘but it wasn’t me’ look… too funny!

Awwww, Mom! You’re such a buzz killer!

Glad to see the little guy is up and about, and participating in hijinks!
Lookin’ good, Mom!

And here’s the video…sorry, Youtube was taking forever to fix the shakiness last night. Probably because it was pretty danged bad. Yes, that is RORY’S HALTER that Odie has pulled down and is shaking at Rory.

Sorry for the Darth Vader breathing…

Yes, “It wasn’t me” combined with “I never did anything bad in my life” …

Mr. Innocent!

 they both have that “who, us??” look.

Mr Innocent… I think we’ve seen enough to know that isn’t true!!

I can always count on Odie to put a smile on my face even when things are not going the best for me

Today was a big and horrible day for Odie

First, he got stuck with a needle, which he really hates. Then he got his feet trimmed professionally for the first time since before he broke his leg. We’re going to keep him Rory’s schedule (five weeks) for now for future trims. I did a trial run last week to make sure he could stand on the bad foot to have the good hind foot held up. He can. He didn’t like it, and he got a little kicky, and he got beat a little and then stood there with his foot up like a champ.

So here are the foot pics!

From the right
From the left

He had shed a TON of frog, like a huge chunk, the week before, including most of the soft heel they normally have.

And if you were astute…you would have picked up that he also got CLIPPED, hence the clear view of the feetsies

I did the small clipper parts first and snapped this amusing little photo.

And all done

He also got a lik-it in the lik-it case, which made him angry. Befoer, he got to eat the whole thing in like 45 minutes. So he took his anger out on the poor plastic apple

The tufties at the tips of his ears!!

Love it, and it’s great for you to keep sharing his progress with us.

Someone on FB called them pom poms  I just clipped his ears the way I do a horse, but horses don’t have long hair, so it does look like pom poms! I think it’s adorable, but then again, I may be biased. I love him, and he’s doing so well!

He wasn’t even sore or more off than normal after his trim, and my trainer said he wasn’t sore when he got up from his nap this morning. So, yay!!

Oh my, what a HANDSOME little ass!!!

:lol::lol::lol:

(I love them when they’re fuzzy–they look like little stuffed toys, but when they’re clipped they look sooooo fancy! He looks great.)

Thanks. I can tell he has less muscle tone than last year, but otherwise he’s in great shape

I. Love. Your. Ass.

I’m officially obsessed with Odie. The personalities in your barn… om*g.

You must continue to update this every week with pictures. Must. Yes, I’m demanding.

I can try! I try to just update with actual updates to keep the thread relevant. If you have FB or a Youtube account, you can follow me (or the burrito) there…almost always new videos there on a weekly basis.

Yes, I’m childless

Update

So the weather decided to be blustery (ie 35 mph winds), and Odie got chilled yesterday, so he’s blanketed and snuggly now. Poor little wee man was shivering this morning! But it actually is warm, I pitted out my t-shirt on my ride, which was maybe 25 minutes of trotting? Maybe 30? Rory was sweaty, me too…Odie? Adorable blankie.

Also, gate is fixed, so Odie was out while I rode. He went way down by the gate, so when I was done cooling Rory, we walked around the back of the arena and I called Odie. This is what happened next

Yes. He runs and squeaks at the same time. It’s adorable.

Well look at him GO! Thanks for sharing! Glad he’s doing so well.

May I just say that I about puked from the cuteness? Holy moly.

OMG he looks like a cartoon!
