Great news. The latest I had seen was that he was about a week out from returning to his home stall. He should be glad to get back into his old routine and see all of “his” people.
I know it is an old post but just read on FB (Doug N’Neill Racing Stable) that Lava Man will be leading the post parade for the Hollywood Gold Cup tomorrow, Saturday. Post time for the Hollywood Gold Cup at Santa Anita is approximately 8:12pm EST.
Lava Man won the Hollywood Gold Cup 3 times.
For a time, Santa Anita resurrected and named the Hollywood Gold Cup (race being acquired after the closure of Hollywood Park) to Gold Cup at Santa Anita. Santa Anita has now returned the race to its original name, Hollywood Gold Cup.
Happy to see the race name being returned to the original and so happy to see that Lava Man will be leading the horses on to the track <3 (since the smilies are still broken, I suspect)
