Jingles for my little old man - not good news

Sammy, 17 1/2, hasn’t been feeling well the past couple of days. Not eating well and just not as active. I thought might have transferred the bug the foster had but I got his blood work back and his liver enzymes are high and one of the kidney enzymes.

Going to do an ultrasound Tuesday the 11th and until then he’s getting fluids, cerenia, famotidine, mirtazapine and I got some milk thistle and Sam e.

He’s more active than he was Wednesday so that’s always a good sign.

He’s such a good boy… he and Snickers are the last two of my first cats.

Oh, no. Hugs and jingles to you and Sammy! Hopefully he’ll continue the rebound. It sounds like his Mum has things well in hand, at least.

Thank you! I’m just glad he seems to be feeling better for now. He’s eating fairly well and last night he swatted at the dragonfly toy.

It’s like nip on steroids. Check it out on Chewy, Amazon, etc. My SIL’s cat started in on the Amazon box before it was even open. It’s from a plant in the same family as kiwi fruit.

I believe the jingles have certainly been working. Between that and the mirtaz he’s eaten more in the past two days than he has in a long time.

He’s been very good about the fluids as long as they’re warm enough. I can’t say that I blame him.

So far he’s had a pretty good weekend.

Had the ultrasound today and the news isn’t good. Cancer. Lymph nodes, liver and kidneys.

Now I have to decide when. It won’t be long, but I couldn’t do it today.

Oh, I’m so sorry. I hoped the news would be better. My heart aches for you and Sammy. I completely understand not being able to let him go today. You need some more time to love on him and to prepare yourself as much as you can. Hugs and love and I’ll be thinking of you.
