Jingles Please, My daughter’s horse foaled Saturday morning foal popped out then placenta started then second unexpect foal (devious little fella apparently was good at hiding through several ultrasounds to the chagrin of the vet) The little guy obviously needed more time cooking but his well developed sister apparently determined the arrival time. His tendons are loose, He can stand and he can nurse but not at the same time, He is being bottle fed but now has a big knee and looks to be failing. Jingles please for this foal who beat the odds both dodging the ultrasound and being born alive. He’s on his way to the hospital to see what is going on with the knee and to determine the best way to get needed calories and other nutrition in him. We are hoping for a good prognosis and that this guy can continue to beat the odds against him.
Jiggles Please.
** When he arrived the clinic doubted he would make it through the night. He was septic and his kidney numbers were bad. But again he beat the odds. He’s getting better, not out or the woods but headed in the right direction. Getting up and down. Drinking, peeing, popping but the kidney numbers aren’t rebounding like they would like, So still needs the advanced care and all your beautiful jingles.
*** Kidney’s stalled on recovery and further complications. Over all prognosis bad even if he survived. He was humanely euthanized this evening.
