I am so sorry you had to make the call. I lost an amazing mare back in March the same way, and I am still dealing with the guilt of not sending her out to a more advanced vet clinic-even though my vet was pretty clear she was unlikely to be able to survive the trip there. It’s just so awful when they should still have so much life ahead of them. I really and truly know how you feel.
