I have an OTTB and I would love to see his foal registration pictures. I went on the Jockey Club but couldn’t find any link. Any ideas? Also how do I find his Keeneland sales photo if that even exists? He went through the sales ring in 2006. Any help would be great.
There is no link. I inquired once and told they are not made available to the public. Or anyone.
With the sales video look up his hip number on keeneland’s website then contact keeneland requesting a video. I think they charge a small fee
Check with the breeder about the foal registration pics. '05 foals were right about when we switched doing ours from film to digital so could be either way.
Keeneland sales don’t do photos - SOME select consignors do - but as mentioned above Keeneland does video while the horse is in the ring.
Sometimes you can get lucky and find sale photos just by googling a whole lot.
Also, sometimes you get lucky and will find one posted on foaltrack.com (I don’t know how active/updated this site is - but have found a few horses I know on it in the past)

I doubt the Jockey Club would let you see them. I work for a breed registry and all photos submitted to us for registry purposes (registrations, duplicate certificates, semen transport permits, etc.) are for our use only…not available for anyone else to view.

There might be photos from Keeneland, depending on when he sold during the sale. If he was in the first couple books, there is a higher chance of finding photos. What’s the name of your horse?
His race name was Living Word.
Ah, well, he was Hip #5037 (out of 5161 horses) and sold for $7,500. The chance of people having photos of him are a bit slim.

This is what keeneland will send you. This is my boy in this video. Now that you have his hip number contact them. Make sure you tell them the hip number, year of sale and which sale; sept yealing sale
Sometimes the breeder will oblige. I contacted my TB’s breeder and they were super nice and sent me his registration photo’s.
Registration photos are usually horrible lol! Sort of like our driver’s license photos! Luckily I take tons of baby pictures, so I would send those rather than the ugly registration photos.
