Bob’s talking about his early yrs being a racing Quarter jockey/ trainer and the difficulties crossing over to TBs and how he started out by buying crooked horses at sales.
The first one he bought was 30 Slews for $30K in 1992 at the Keeneland yearling sale and he only had $20K to spend walking into that sale. PS 30 Slews did well for him, after he begged some people to go into some share splits with him.
