Ultimate Equestrian Competitive Trail Schooling/Challenge!

Open to all Breeds and all Disciplines!

The Ultimate Equestrian Challenge is designed to be a relaxed and fun learning experience for horses and riders of all ages, experience levels, and disciplines. Several new obstacles will be introduced each evening and assistance will be available for the horse & rider if desired. Six evening schooling sessions will culminate in a combination of events on June 19th at the Maryland Horse Trials competition grounds.

Thursday Evening Schooling Schedule:
April 1, 2010 Schooling Evening (from 5pm until dark, every other Thursday evening)
April 15, 2010 Schooling Evening
April 29, 2010 Schooling Evening
May 13, 2010 Schooling Evening
May 27, 2010 Schooling Evening

Thursday Evening Schoolings Sessions Sponsored By:

In case of rain, Thursday Evening Schooling Sessions will be moved to the next Thursday - riders checking on cancelled sessions can send an email to the Ultimate Equestrian email address for an auto reply stating whether the schooling has been postponed.

Thursday Evening Schooling Session Fees:
Individually each evening session is $30.
For a flat fee of $150 you can purchase all 6 evening sessions.

This is a great way to challenge your horse and yourself with new experiences!

Additional Information:
• You are not required to attend any or all of the Thursday Evening Schooling Sessions to participate in the June 19th Ultimate Equestrian Competitive Trail Challenge (CTC) or the Ultimate Equestrian Obstacle Challenge offered that afternoon.
• The Thursday Evening Schooling Sessions will be held on the Loch Moy cross-country schooling course.
• Bring proof of a negative Coggins to each session.
• Helmets and Protective Headgear, as well as safety vests, are strongly recommended and encouraged. (Those who choose not to wear helmets will need to sign a helmet release.)
• There will be an approximate ¾ mile loop with possible logs/ditches/coops/cavalletti to warm-up on at the beginning of each schooling session.
• There will be a maximum of 20 riders per Thursday night schooling session.
• Coaches will include, but are not limited to: Tommy & Judy Smith of Good Friday Farm, and David Beard and Brooke Vrany of The Sevens Ranch.

(An American Competitive Trail Horse Association Sanctioned Event)
6 Miles and includes 6 Obstacles that will be judged
CASH & PRIZES
Divisions & Entry Fees:
You must be a member ACTHA to enter.
You must go to the following website to enter: www.actha.us
A: Open Division: $58: Obstacles will be more difficult. Awards will be in jackpot cash, ribbons & prizes.
B: Pleasure Division: $58 - less difficult obstacles. Awards will be ribbons & prizes.
C: Junior Division: $43: 7 - 15 years old. Juniors MUST wear a helmet and MUST be accompanied by an adult rider and provide written authorization from their parent and or guardian consenting to same. Awards will be ribbons/prizes.
D: Buddy Rider Division: Adult Buddy $40 and Junior Buddy $35: A Buddy Rider is a rider who rides the trail following the rules just like a competitor, but does not partake in the obstacles unless local ride management allows. Number of entrants will be the determining factor but regardless, Buddy Riders will not be judged. Buddy Riders MUST be members of ACTHA.

June 19th Afternoon Event - The Ultimate Equestrian Obstacle Challenge
Horse and rider completes a series of maneuvers and obstacles that are a combination of man-made and natural items.
Anybody can enter.
Entry Fees: $TBD

Competitors may enter one or both competitions on June 19th.
