A nice letter to the editor of TDN from a friend of hers. https://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/letter-to-the-editor-remembering-josephine-abercrombie/
She and Alice Chandler were two of a kind, brilliant businesswomen and horsewomen.
What is going to happen to her farm and horses?
Mrs. A’s farm, Pin Oak, was dispersing horses all during 2021. She herself attended the Pin Oak Sale that was held in conjunction with the Fasig Tipton Night of the Stars in November. Breeders had a chance to buy some truly wonderful mares. There were two homebred stallions at the farm. Broken Vow was retired and Alternation moved to Darby Dan. The only remaining horses now are retirees and I’m sure ample provision has been made for them.
Thanks! I hope that they get to live out their days on the farm!
