Just got done watching the whole Freestyle live. I can’t believe that juan Manuel Munoz Diaz and Fuego XII didn’t medal. They had an amazing test! Not to say the others didn’t do amazing, they did.
I was surprised at some of the scores although my eye is not that educated. It did seem Fuego was almost ahead of his rider at a few points, but the others had bobbles also.
I just got home. Fuego was fantastic and got a rousing standing ovation from the crowd. Judge at B who scored him at 75 was booed.
I thought he was great!!
Fuego was my favorite. That’s the only test I want to watch again - loved it!
Guys, this stuff is decided beforehand. Judges have already made their minds up who the best horse/rider combos are.

Sadly, that was rather obvious.
I have it all on demand after it is live and plan on showing some people his test. Amazing horse and rider. Beautiful 1 tempis with one hand

Me too, it was so joyful. I can see how his technical marks weren’t quite as strong as the top 3, but I think he should have gotten the highest artistic marks. I’m not sure if he did; the alltech site shows scores by judge, but not between technical and artistic.
But, the audience loved it and they looked like they were having a blast doing it, I’m sure he is still over the moon.
I keep hearing about this horse and rider and seeing photos, but I wasn’t able to find any video. Does anyone know if one exists? I would love to see them in action.
He stole my heart. He didn’t top seeing Bleu Hors Matinee from a standing room only crowd in Aiken, but hecatood the show tonight.
And why do you think Fuego XII didn’t win a medal
It’s such a shame the judges have their winners already chosen. Juan Manuel and Fuego were the best tonight! I am glad the public let him know who their favorite was.
I was there. Fuego brought me to tears it was that beautiful. I personally think his ride was better than Totilas.
It was a religious experience to witness him.
The judging was so political I had to do a double take and make sure I wasn’t at a hunter show.

It wasn’t the judge at B being booed, it was all the scores being booed. They were all too low!
Very interesting that almost everyone stayed seated after Totilas’ test. It was almost a letdown after the exuberance of Fuego’s test.
Fuego brought the house down. I watched it on TV and was sincerely moved and got SO into it. THAT is what it’s all about. That is the only test I’ll ever go back and watch over and over. I frankly don’t understand why the scores were THAT low; considering the artistic perfection of that round and the obvious emotion that it evoked with the audience… well… at least that spoke for itself. Clear crowd favorite. The announcer on CBC Bold was saying he had never heard the crowd boo scores before, heh.
Fuego would have been a hard act to follow for ANYONE; it’s too bad Totilas had to come directly after. Like I said somewhere else, Toto lost a little of his shine after the gorgeousness of Fuego and Juan’s test. I am not at all sad that Totilas won the entire thing; he is an incredible horse and I am a huge Totilas fan! But Fuego should have been on top or right next to it.
JMO.
I too thought that was interesting that Fuego got a standing ovation, but not Totilas, I thought Totilas deserved one too. Fuego definitely captured the audience’s heart.
What an amazing evening.
Fuego was definitely the crowd favorite tonight, no doubt. I got some fantastic shots.
Loved this horse, and his rider is definitely quite the showman!

Amen to that. It was worth $140 just to see this pair. So full of life. The audience could hardly contain themselves. I’ve never seen people start to cheer and go crazy during a test.
It brought me to tears. It was a tough artistic act to follow for Gal and Totilas!
