JUG Waterers feedback

Hello. I am looking at purchasing the stall waterers and pasture models. Any feedback on these? thanks in advance

I never heard of them. Just looked them up and gave a look over. First impression, seems like a lot of “moving” parts. The 2 websites I checked out didn’t give a lot of detail, installation. One that did give a picture of how it works was too small.

They maybe they are better mousetrap. For the price I’ll stick with the tried and true. For me Nelson.

Thank you for looking! I have Nelsons and the one outside has been perfect. The ones inside, not so much. They have a lot of expensive parts (one tube/filter repair kit is about $120). They get very dirty inside the container. I am looking at the JUG because it doesn’t need an electrical ground because the heat doesn’t touch the bowl), the bowl is PVC and is one piece so they can’t get gunk under the lid.
I love this board for stepping up with thoughts and suggestions! If I do go with these, I will report back.

I would want a metal bowl, PVC breaks/fractures and then has knife sharp edges. It is especially easy to break when it is cold.

In the winter it is ultra important to monitor water consumption, I don’t see any way to do that with this waterer.

Lastly, how easy is it to clean if a rat gets into it, or a horse poops in it?

Why not use buckets?
