I need a jumper trainer in the OKC area, preferably north. An ideal trainer for me would be a proponent of solid leg and snaffle bits. Constructive abuse is fine. I don’t want to pay for a lesson to be told I’m great.
I really like Amanda Eggleston in Edmond. She used to help me back in the day when I was in pony club. She’s with Takeoff Farm.
There aren’t any decent jumper trainers in OKC area. You’d be better off contacting Joey Brumbaugh (Free Flight Farm) in Tulsa area.
Thanks for the responses. I was hoping to find something a little closer. Amanda has moved around a little and now I think she is south of Norman.
Are you looking for a trainer to come to you or are you looking to haul in to a facility?
I honestly don’t know a whole lot about this place, but I know Emilie was a talented rider as a teen. Looking at her bio on her website shows that she has trained under some big names. http://www.tealridgeeventing.com/home.html
Thanks for the link. I’d like to haul to a facility a couple times a week. Boarding isn’t necessary, but if ice storms are the norm in OKC, it may be a consideration.
We normally have a few ice storms each winter in OKC. More ice than snow, but it is not constant ice all winter. Plenty of nice days/though windy mixed in.
