Jumping and falling fears

My other fall that was scary, but I wasn’t hurt, was from horse tripping (face planting with dirt in his ears, nose, mouth!),

I did the exact same thing and we were just trotting in a lesson when the horse suddenly went down. Poor guy had the dirt in his ears nose and mouth too… I don’t think dressage is the answer unless its where the OP’s interest really lies. As others have said, my worst falls were not while jumping and the times I did fall on or into a fence were no worse than other falls.
