Junior Hunter Finals and Hunterdon Cup Livestream Mon. & Tues.

The East Coast Junior Hunter Finals and the Hunterdon Cup East will livestream Monday and Tuesday from Devon, PA. USEF Network has the livestream, and it’s listed on the StreamHorseTV.com website so it’s very easy to find and view.

Class schedule is here: http://usefnetwork.s3.amazonaws.com/pdfs/00/00/00/15/86/usjrhunternationalchampionshipeastschedule.pdf

We have fingers and toes crossed for a livestream of the West coast competition later in July, but so far nothing has been scheduled that I know of.

Thank you. I’ll be watching!

The competition has a Facebook page too. https://www.facebook.com/USJuniorHunterChampionship/

And here’s the link to classes and results. http://brandywine.showmanagementsystem.com/schedule/get/1024/2016-07-11

is there live scoring somewhere?

Yes, the link to the showmanagement system should provide results if you click the “results” tab.

I don’t see any posted yet, but try here, or if anyone finds something better, please post it: http://brandywine.showmanagementsystem.com/results/daily/1024

who are the commentators?

There is live scoring on shownet.biz

Is the feed choppy for anyone else?

Feed seems to be working fine for me. I just caught the tail end of the model and now headed into the large division. I’m hoping it doesn’t get choppy, that makes me dizzy.

There is no model… Were you referring to the jog?

I’m working from home today and tomorrow. Chromecasting so I can watch while I work = heaven.

Sorry the jog. I just thought I saw them lined up like a model and wasn’t paying that much attention. My bad. Anyways, the livestream is fantastic quality.

Answer to earlier question:

Andrew Ellis and Catherine Dowell Ellis are the commentators. It is nice for listeners when Andrew provides background on horse and rider, especially the rider profile information. Catherine is very knowledgable about the performance of the horses/riders - love to hear her thoughts.

I agree, Catherine is diplomatic and insightful…she’s not unfairly hard on the kids but she avoids being overly saccharine!

Second round just started. Top 20 coming back.

So I guess that this eq class does not subscribe to the rule that you can not be asked to do a trip on a strange horse that you have not already done on your own horse?

 I’ve never heard of this rule.

It’s pretty common in the big eq classes to swap horses and do a test.

Well, it used to be a rule. I don’t know if it was a AHSA/USEF rule or a Medal/Maclay rule.
Yes the did switch horses, but they rejumped the same course they had just jumped on their own horse. IIRC

Other question: Maya Nayyar did not sit the trot on exiting at the end of the last test. Am I incorrect in thinking that is a major fault and should have placed her below her the other three?

Well, she didn’t “do the test”…
