We had a pony a couple years ago called Wheres Waldo? Barn name marbles. He was a leopard appy.
Now we have Mario Cart, barn name Baron because he was so fast when we got him my daughters eyes would water. We should have named him marshmellow due to his rotundness.
Dukie
I knew a show pony growing up called Sudden Stop. 'Nuff said on that little mare.
I also rode a pony with two back socks called Reeboks Hightops.
Moon Pie was a very round, brown Shetland that detested me and the feeling was mutual.
Tail Light was a paint that had one spot hidden under his saddle and a fabulous skunk tail.
To His Own Drummer was another favorite name of mine.
I knew an evil pony that bossed around the bigger horses. His name:
Mr. Sparkles
We had a pony named Poni and a horse who showed under Am I Dun Yet which fit him well!
In the Welsh world of ponies, the Gayfields always have the cutest names for their ponies. I wonder who comes up with all the names for them! I always get a good giggle when I read the Welsh Review and see the new foal crop!
Dubbel Bubbel
Pistol Packin Mamma
The Floozy
Cops and Robbers
Call the Cops
L O Dolly
Easy as L
Chick Magnet
Bubbley
Sorority Girl
Hissy Fit
Anyway, here is their link if you want to see some cuties!
There used to be a paint who had a white rump with a black tail…she was called “Moving Target.” And then a little girl named Grace had a pony whose show name was “Saving Grace.” Ahh, and the teeny tiny satan pony Doris Dunn.
There is a pony where I volunteer at named, Edgar Allen Pony. I love that one!

Naming ponies
I started breeding Welsh ponies a few years ago. My registered prefix is The Willows, so the first year I had The Willows Numero Uno and The Willows First Chance. Second year was The Willows Second Guess. I’ve already got my third foal crop named, and they aren’t born yet, Third Wish, Third’s a Charm, Three Little Words.
I once had a pony named Small Fortune. My dad named him.
We named my daughter’s pony: Don’t Tell Daddy
It’s not original, but it sure fits!

AWWWW! Thats ADORABLE!
LOVE Al Capony!!!
I’ve always wanted to get a companion pony and name it Fatty Lumpkins.
I wonder if I know/knew you! I remember that name and almost posted it myself. Of course, there could be two…

My sons pony came as a Napoleon- my son renamed him to Zachary about 30 seconds after his older siblings started calling his pony ‘nappy’ for short. He makes a pretty good Zachary.
the funny part of it is, my father who still actively rides and spends time here in the barn every day called him ‘pony pony’ for about a year…before realizing the darn thing even had a name.
My son finally overheard my dad calling him pony pony and grandpa had to do some serious apologizing to an irate 10 year old! *I laughed for a good 10 minutes, listening to the tirade

WOW!! Racy Rumor is just stunning. I keep seeing a little filly from her and Mardi standing in my barn for some reason…
Went to a show and actually got to see a gorgeous little dun small named Somethin bout Amy. It was ridden by a child named Amy, and oh that was a tricky little thing to ride! That tot had some serious skill to master that little hellion round the ring much less over the jumps.
I knew a pony named Firecracker - chestnut with a blaze and 4 stockings. Kids were afraid to ride him because they thought it referred to his temperament, but he wouldn’t hurt a fly.
I rode a pony when I was little called Two Bucks - the ugliest, crankiest appy you’ve ever seen. Wonder how he got his name
