I can’t speak for anyone else on this board but I know that I contributed to the horses in need referenced above. So I was “there” for them.
All I want to add to this thread is that in all of the videos posted here, he looks like a difficult ride who wants to canter right through the jumps. Would I breed to him? No. Would i even buy one of his babies for cheap? No. But if someone wants to spend their time and money promoting him, and/or breeding their mares to him, then why does anyone else care?
We all know (well, all of us besides one person) that Jill is terrible and the horses suffered under her care. But now that he’s not hers anymore, Aloha can just fade in to obscurity without bothering the rest of us.

His kids aren’t old enough to be performance horses, [/QUOTE]
He must have some under saddle. Isn’t he 10 now? If he first bred at 3, then first foals born when he was 4 would make him have some 4, 5 and 6 year olds by now. Or did he not breed right away?
An internet board with anonymous posters is not the place to judge a stallion.

An internet discussion board about breeding is not the place to try to stifle discussion about a stallion.
Absolutely, but some comments here are based on speculation. Perhaps give the new owners some time with him as he’s had a checkered past.
I, too, contributed to Jill’s horses in need. In fact, I still do.

Aloha’s sire.

Just to be fair. This stallion’s pedigree is full of horses that have really good jumping potential including Absatz, Ramiro, Furioso II and Gotthard. That doesn’t entitle Aloha to any level of ability but it is possible.
If I was to question Aloha’s pedigree as a breeder, it would be the dam’s side.
But Anrit was mainly presented in Dressage competitions
And as far as I remember, he did pretty well…
I think it was a mare on his dam’s side that prevented him from being approved GOV when he was presented several years ago.
One question (if anyone knows the answer), I understood that Aloha had sustained an injury to one of his front legs in his skirmish with RS. Looks like maybe his left front ankle from the pictures in his ad. Is this merely cosmetic or something that may affect soundness should his new owners wish to pursue a performance career with him? Lots of talk about him proving himself in performance now, just curious if that is a real possibility.
I wish his new owner the best with him and the OP best of luck with her foal. I too am glad that he has landed softly and that his new owner resolved the payment issues with Silver Creek.
Is the new owner the farm with the same name in VA or is he staying in Canada?
What happen to Redwine and the Federalist? Romantic Star is still with the humane society? I’m so glad they got away form her, I just wish the laws were harsher for animal abuse and neglect!
Redwine is in Ontario, Canada (iirc)
