I’d never really done much with driving and then a friend bought one of my Morgans from me and started driving him. At Xmas, I asked you guys for help on what to give her and (thank you to whoever suggested it) I bought her a lesson with her trainer. I went with her to the lesson and then I took a lesson and then I was her navigator at a driving derby… and now one of my Morgans had her first experience with the cart the other day and heads to the trainer for the month of August.
So thanks COTH for enabling as always and here’s a photo of my girl Kitai (5 year old Morgan mare) being ground driven in the full harness for the first time the other day

Plus BNTs available for lessons.
I tell people it’s like Summer Camp for Drivers (riders welcomed too)

Yes I am near a very active driving club
My goal is competitive trail drives and I’m super lucky to board along 6000 acre park with 30+ miles of carriage trails

I’ve been working with a driving trainer, too. I signed up for a lesson on a whim last winter and next thing I knew I was the proud owner of a vehicle and harness for my horse. The goal is to do combined driving with my standardbred filly. In the meantime, my filly’s mom is showing me the ropes.
