I haven’t posted a ton in the past few years, but I am still deliriously happy with Right Horse (longer than 8 years now!!) who now also has a little (big) brother. Deliriously happy with both of them :).
We are so fortunate to have this love for animals that brings us together as well.
Glad you’re doing okay and waving right back at you. As for the love of animals, well, you know it’s my life and my addiction (just bought a 3 year old who will be coming home next weekend…early birthday present to myself…I figure if I can’t go anywhere other than work then darn it, I’m going to take on another project LOL). They do provide a peace of mind with all the craziness that’s going on right now. Not regretting my career choice one bit but feel for those who really are on the front lines.
You are very sweet. Thank you. Yes, it’s been a very rough few months. Very rough. Here’s hoping that we get some control very soon - we are doing all that we can do. It is a little easier now that we have PPE and more knowledge of transmission.
I’m so thankful for my sweet boys and friends. <3.
That is AWESOME!! 3 year old? lol - what is he or she like? And yes, I only go to work and the barn as well :).
Such peace of mind when I’m with my two. They are amazing.
Thank you for your kind words - we are doing everything we can to keep everyone safe, and I’m glad now that we have somewhat more knowledge of disease transmission. I just wish more people were following guidelines.
I’m so excited for you! This is exciting news! I prefer mine older and less interested in baby antics - but you are such a great rider and bringer up of babies…any horse you raise will be a saint :). I still remember watching you ride with Hilda with the mare and foal turned out beside the area, and you on a stallion…you did a beautiful job.
Wow that does bring back memories (the Hilda clinic). The three year old is pretty level headed; so, at almost 57 I’m not too worried. I backed my now 6 year old just 3 years ago and lived to tell the tale LOL. This guy is very, very similar in mind and antics. I’m far more 'choosy" these days in who and what I’ll back. Fortunately I live near an almost endless trail system so the young ones get lots of miles without too many demands. Makes starting them much easier in the long run and far fewer antics I don’t know what I would do without the outlet and ‘escape’ of horses. Glad you have your two to give you those moments of sanity.
Glad to know you are still around, and doing well.
Re: the rest of it. It’ll be around for a long time. A real life changer.
Glad you got proper PPE. It helps, but stay careful. Sometimes you gotta almost stop breathing.
