Justify lame

I am well aware that the state vets have had their eyes on Justify since the flap the day after the KD.

I’m still thinking getting an uninvolved party’s brief, eyes-on (if possible), would be worth hearing particularly when that third party is a frequent poster here and one I tend to trust what she says

I am not here for any reason other than to see the Derby winner’s arrival like I do every year. I am not going to flex him and watch him jog off.

I posted a short video and some crappy pics on my racing stables page linked below. He looked fine.

No link there…

Thanks Laurierace!

I thought you were there just to get a quick glimpse of Justify. For me, would be fun just to see the horse in person in a little less pressured environment than the saddling ring.

Sounds like Justify got to Pimlico just fine and should be ready on Saturday!

You have to enable signatures or just go to FB and search for McDowell racing stables.

Gotcha, thx.

I realized I posted the wrong video on my page earlier, not sure who that was! Take a look now if you want to see the correct horse.

No kidding! I’m glad Justify has better luck making the Preakness than I do Opening Meet!

I hope he has a great trip Saturday-I do love a Big Red horse.

Guess he was not so lame, now was he. (sorry I’m grumpy; been in hospital for a bit)

Grumpy and silly  We all saw, and the trainer admitted, that Justify was dead lame, temporarily, on the hind leg. They found a bruise and he was shod with a 3/4 shoe to ease the pain and promote healing. At first they thought it was scratches or heel burn.

I hope you feel better soon, hospitals are a necessary evil.

Thank you Gesalt.
Still hurting & grumpy. Cats happy to have me back tho.

He looked fine post-Preakness. I’ll bet they checked him out carefully before bringing him out! Interesting, I think he has ear plugs in.
