Kastel leggings with silicone seat

Anyone have them? How are they? How do they run size-wise?

thanks

I literally JUST bought a pair! I’ll let you know what I think once I’m able to try them on

I’m usually a 32R and ordered XL. The waist and thighs and big but the calves are snug. Very wearable though.

Update: finally got a chance to ride in them! They’re very soft and comfortable–the material reminds me of what Athleta uses for their leggings. I’m glad they have the silicone on the seat, though, because otherwise they’d be quite slippery. Overall, I’m happy with them!

Are these the same ones @Nutmeg11?

I heard there were Kastel items on the TJMaxx website on the cheap shirts thread.

Worth trying at that price!

Oh dang, it looks like those are the same ones! That’s a steal of a price!

Is the silicone super sticky? I just rode in the ones I got from Maya delorez and I felt like I was glued to the saddle

I wash any silicone seats first and that helps a lot.

I always wash them first too. The silicone on these felt like just enough to keep me in the saddle comfortably without a) slip sliding everywhere or b) having to peel myself off of the leather…a nice happy medium! (Granted, we’ll see how it holds up, but at least for the first ride, it felt good.)

I bought one of the TJ Maxx pairs and ended up returning them.

The fabric is strange - it’s not as stretchy as a typical tight and it bunched in weird places, including over both pockets. I could probably have lived with that (especially for the price!) but the dealbreaker for me was the waistband. It looks like a legging waistband with the wide stretchy fabric, but it turns out there’s a narrow strip of elastic at the top and it wasn’t comfortable.

The overall quality seemed solid if those two things don’t bother you.
