Well, don’t let them dress like her then. It’s not her responsibility to shape your kids. It’s your job. No one can please everyone all of the time and she can’t make everyone happy. If you don’t want you children dressing like her, don’t let them. Simple.

this is getting a little off topic but
Kudos for you - I mean that in all honesty, but it takes more than horses. I’ve seen some pretty nasty and many great people involved with horses.
Both my sons event and have become wonderful horsemen and gentlemen. While horses have taught them lots and have definitely added a lot to their life, it was our responsibility to teach them what we think is right from wrong.
I admit though it does feel really great when people come up to you and compliment you on what wonderful boys they are and you can take credit for that.
On the other side of the coin, I wouldn’t let my boys dress that way either :lol:- finally got them to agree to wear the white silk ties
So everyone should be thrilled that she’s leaving her nasty ways behind and getting into dressage instead! Yay her!
I mean, maybe if Britney took up horses, her life would be a little less unstable!
Please Katie Price is completely skanky. I’ve seen photos of her masturbating with her cell phone in public, caught by a paparazzi. She’s nobody’s daughter’s role model.
That said, I do think Katie Price will give the stuffies in dressage a good shake. Maybe make it a more tolerant atmosphere for people who aren’t exactly the norm. I’m sure there are those mucky mucks who are offended by her and that makes me laugh even harder. The sport should be welcoming to everyone, even Katie Price. So good for her. Go Katie. if you need to find something for your kids to admire about her… how about her sheer business brilliance?
i had no clue who she was - but went and looked her up… and OMG we all could learn a thing or two about making $$ from her. her riding? not so much. i will give her credit tho - she clearly loves horses - so she cant be all bad 
as for brigning attention to dressage - i personally dont think the sport needs it. more $$ just means more corruption of the ideals, more pushing of horses, more fake trainers etc etc.

Agreed. And for the record I really don’t understand how having excess spangly things on her jacket, some very liberally applied makeup and a lack of a hairnet during an exhibition ride is lamentably failing to set a good example.
She’s getting on the horse, working hard to learn to ride it, and going after her goals. There’s your example.

I absolutly agree.How silly to think that Katie has to worry about influencing our daughters.You may not agree with some aspects of her image but from what Ive seen she is a good buisness woman,a loving mother and she loves horses.OMG she has spangles on her tophat and no hairnet !!! Just offcourse a bit but one of her children is disabled and blind and as far as Ive read she does a lot of charity work for other disabled children.She is harmless for Petes sake.

Ah, one of my favorite songs. Remember slc, that there are some countries where it is not as hard to qualify for the Olympics as others. She may have enough money to buy a small country to ride for.
When I interviewed for a job in Finland some years ago, I called the local riding club and got this question, ‘Do you want to ride in the Olympics?’ I said ‘WHAT?’ She said, ‘Well, there are only three other people that ride dressage here, so there is one extra spot’. She was totally kidding but it was very funny.
Things have changed there a little since then. No one even jokes about that there any more.
She could ride for Bangladesh. Dressage is not so big there.
