Calumet is also consigning True Timber who is still in the sale as of today.
He sells in Session 2

What is going on at Calumet these days?

I don’t think much but they are still standing stallions. It seems every year they sell off their lesser stallions in this sale. A few have disappeared from their roster in the last 2-3 years; I am not sure their destination.

Barns in the video/photos look like they could use some paint touch ups. I am happy that the current owner purchased it and is continuing to keep TB’s on the property. They are well cared for. But since the owner has other business ventures, I am not sure how devoted to Calumet they are. They are currently racing horses out of Tampa Bay Downs

True Timber himself is their 4th top earner since the year 2000 with fellow stable mates; Channel Cat being #3 and Bravazo being #1. Oxbow is their 5th all time earner and still on the stallion roster as well.

Hence was standing at Calumet but in 2024 was moved to Minnesota.
Bal a Bali was sold back to Brazil in September 2024 by Calumet
Big Blue Kitten was last at Calumet in 2024 but he has disappeared?
Mr. Z was sold by Calumet PS Keeneland Nov 2023
Optimizer went to Saudi Arabia via Keeneland Nov 2023
Producer disappeared after he was RNA’d in Keeneland Nov 2023
Raison D’etat disappeared
War Correspondent sold to Turkey for 2022.
Behesht(FR) sold for 3500 in the 2021 Jan sale. I think he reappeared for sale on facebook and then appeared in Mar 2022 at Whytemount Stud in Ireland thanks to bloodstock agent Mick Kelly who found the horse, tracked him down and got the right contacts to get the horse into worthy hands
Snapy Halo sold for 1,500 in the 2021 Jan sale. I think he also reappeared for sale on facebook then end up at Covilar Farm in VA. Not sure if he is still there.
Grey Swallow was sold in the sale as well and spent his last few years in Virginia.
Musketier was sold and then later died i believe in 2021.

Thanks. I drive by it every time I’m in Kentucky, and I always wonder what’s going on there.

Speaking of paint. I don’t remember now where I heard it, but I always think of the old story about how they had two guys there whose only job was to paint fence. And they would start in the same spot at the beginning of the year and begin working in opposite directions.

And then they would meet back up again at the end of the year when they finished so they could start again the next day. Lol.
