Many lovely yearlings with some very impressive pedigrees in the catalog. Book 1 begins tomorrow (Sept 13.)
Book 1, Hip #2: By Galileo out of I’m a Chatterbox. Gorgeous filly.
Wonder what she will bring?
Interesting choice of Galileo for that mare. Lovely filly.
I would think that any Galileo will have a bit of a premium at the sales now.
Tune in shortly after 1:00pm ET to fine out
Galileo filly 725K hammer.
I thought she would go for more.
375K and 200K hammer for the Gun Runner filly and colt respectively. I liked the colt better than they did.
Justify’s best so far (hammer) 300K
Thanks for the reply. With the new format I can’t post more than 5 times without a reply. So running commentary is difficult.
Given the cost of Galileo’s stud fee (rumored to be about $700,000), the costs of shipping the mare, and all other costs associated with raising and preparing a yearling, I doubt if the Galileo/I’m a Chatterbox sellers even made their money back.
What a tough business.
We don’t yet know if she sold.
Darn they just pulled one of my favorites out. #47
Galileo filly sold 725K so she made her reserve.
