Yes, though I think it’s within 90 days of the sale, either way.
Pardon my confusion. When you called it the yuck of the sale on behalf of millions of unnamed and irrelevant people, it sounded as though you shared their opinion.
FWIW, no one else refers to these horses that way.
Instead of being a negative Nancy, What are your picks from the Sale?
Session 9 had more than 30 selling for $100k+. Session topper was a $350,000 colt by Not This Time.

Edited to add Keeneland results.
Oh hey, Shayney’s dam had one in there, she RNAed though - by Lexitonian out of Decoder.
I don’t make picks on the internet for entertainment. Many of these horses belong to people I know. Others will be bought by people I know. I’ve been at Keeneland every day since before the sale began, so I’ve seen many of the sales horses in person. I’ve discussed some of them with their sellers and/or potential buyers. I know things about them (both good and bad) that can’t be seen in a photo. It wouldn’t be fair to either the horses or to their connections for me to comment about them on a public forum.
That also bothers me. Occasionally I’ll share a flashy yearling to the colored thoroughbred Facebook page and people make nasty comments about them. I’m like dude…my friends bred that yearling. No need to be mean about it.
The same thing happens a lot when I share a picture of any horse and rider on Facebook. There are lots of civilized people who can be complimentary or at least polite.
But then there are always some who take the opportunity to make some negative comment. Or take it as an opening to twist it to make a negative comment about somebody else in comparison.
It’s very tiresome.
Thirteen six-figure yearlings on day 10 at Keeneland September.
I was not asking you to nitpick horses or pick out their faults publicly. I was just asking what you liked based on the catalog pages, videos and photos that have been posted. Anywho, carry on
You did ask LaurieB to pick favorites and she has shared her IRL self here. Puts her in an awkward spot to publicly pick one colt/filly over another when she knows the sellers. Many people come on here but never post and it is the internet.
ETA she is also a working professional and may be advising clients on what to purchase and posting free opinions on her favorites would be questionable at best.
Keeneland seems happy with the sale. https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/279874/record-setting-keeneland-september-sale-concludes
@LaurieB do you think the market for horses in the later books has improved?
Wow, those are some crazy numbers.
Imagine sending 334 horses through the sale from one operation.
Yes. Partly because the foal crop is so much smaller, so the quality in those books has improved. And partly because a number of agents and trainers (Ken McPeek among them) have made a point of talking about the good horses they’ve found in later books which has encouraged other shoppers to try to do the same.
Thanks. That’s good news.
