Is anyone here a member of the Kenada Hunt outside of Rockdale, Tx?

I had the pleasure today of capping with them. The master of this hunt is Amy Adams, the daughter of the owner of the Tennessee Titans, so this is as close as I’ve ever come to associating with the rich and famous.

They hunt coyote on 17,000 acres of (mostly) bottom-land pasture, with trees along the San Gabriel River. The whips today saw 3 coyotes but I only saw one (high-tailing it away from us). We had what looked like 17 of us in the first field, and no second field. They had about 9 or even more riders attending the hounds, who were, perhaps not coincidentally, very well behaved.

Anyway, I had a good time, and met some nice friendly fellow enthusiasts.

I went out there probably ten or twelve years ago looking at a horse one of their whips owned. I didn’t buy the horse, but I had a FANTASTIC time. They are a GREAT group of people…fun loving, friendly and great hunting! Wish it weren’t so far from Florida, as I’d be back to visit more often!!!

So glad someone in this part of the world is actually riding/hunting/and having fun!!! Here in OK we are still sloggy through the melting 48 inches of snow we’ve gotten in the past 10 days!! Nice to hear about Kenada!! How was the footing??

Ya know, I was going to see about going with them next weekend but figured out they’ve moved from Waller to near Austin. I just can’t keep up! But I have always heard great things about them.

I do remember competing against Amy in western pleasure, waaaaaaay back when…

The footing was just fine. It looked like they haven’t had any rain in a good while there.
