Just bought our tickets! Last time I went was ahem in the late 90’s. Really looking forward to this.
Who’s going??

I’ll be there, getting so excited! It’s the first year in a long time that I haven’t had a big expensive “must buy” on my shopping list, so it’ll be very relaxing and low pressure
Only 72 days to go!
I’ll be there too. I also don’t have anything on my “must buy” shopping list, which I’m a bit sad about truth be told. LOL
I’m sure I’ll come home with a few things.
Can’t wait!
I just bought tickets as well! We’re going to camp there in the overflow for the first time. Last time we went was 2016, I think and we stayed off site at another camp ground about 30min away. Going to be a lot of walking for us, but probably not much different than a horse show. Already preparing waterproof foot wear!
Nothing specific to buy unless they have some good deals on bits or a double bridle for our hony.
Looking forward to it!
I plan on being there. I’ll be volunteering again. I shopped until I dropped last year.
Pretty sure I bought my tickets for this year while we were still at the event last year lol. Been going since 2012 (minus 2020 and 2021 for obvious reasons), and it never gets old! Thankfully I’ve reached the point where I have almost every horsey thing I could ever need, so won’t be doing much shopping. Just food!
Ummmm the gods of Retail Horse Goods heard that…
I’ll be there and absolutely did buy my 2025 tickets while there last year, lol. I’ve got a short list of things I’ll be searching for at the trade fair but I think we’ll mostly just be taking the opportunity to catch up with out-of-state friends who will also be in attendance.
I’m interested to see how many entries we end up with this year. I don’t think it’ll be a very long list but I’m hoping I’ll be proven wrong.
Congratulations, you just guaranteed it will be a very expensive shopping year Every time I’ve said I don’t have anything in particular I need, or I’m not looking for anything specific, the universe laughs and I end up finding more stuff than I ever imagined I would lol! Now I’ve never regretted any of those purchases, but I do have to laugh at how it tends to work out!
I’ll be going for the first time in some 24 years. I went with my best friend then, and we’re meeting up again this year. Can’t wait!
I bought a new saddle the day before we drove down in 2023 so….as long as I spend less than that big bill I’ll welcome surprise fun purchases!
I got my tickets in the discount time last year right. I love going to Kentucky…in my mind it will always be called Rolex
I’m hoping because it’s not an Olympic year we may see more.
A lot of people are out of commission.
For example, of the Olympic team, Liz obviously is sitting this year out. Sydney Elliott has been on crutches post-surgery. Caroline just had a baby.
I could go on…
If everything goes according to plan this spring (fingers crossed!), I’ll be there grooming. And not buying anything
Potentially me and another horse friend of mine!!!
I’m going! Hope there is a decent amount of entries in the 5 star. Also wondering what kind of big names we will see in the 5 star show jumping?
Thank you all for responding… I have a question for those who’ve been many times: Do spectators dress up for the vet inspections? Or for any part of the event? I was asked this question and I realized I did not know this. I’ve NEVER been to a vet inspection / trot up. I went to Fair Hill in 2023 and I didn’t see anyone in anything remotely formal the whole time I was there.
I still call it Rolex too.
Dressing up for the jogs isn’t really a thing for spectators—you get a whole range of weather during those so everyone is pretty much in whatever they’d normally be wearing to traipse around the horse park that day.
My best friend and I dressed up for the Grand Prix on Saturday night last year but that was just for our own amusement / because we were going out to dinner afterward, not because there was any expectation of it externally.
Spectators don’t dress up as far as I’ve seen the few years I’ve been. Just be sure to bring a variety of clothing for cold, wet, warm, sunny weather. Because you never know what the weather gods will bring.
